The project consists of the procurement of solid waste equipment and the construction of a sorting and composting facility of capacities 10 t/d and 6 t/d, respectively.  The requested equipment include: 30 containers (capacity 1100 l), 1 pick up truck, 1 solid waste collection vehicles (capacity 10 m3).  The EIA for the sorting and composting facility was approved by the Ministry of Environment.  The composting facility is of the small rotating drums technology.  An awareness campaign is planned to raise the awareness of citizen on the proper sorting and management of municipal solid waste.
