The project consists of the procurement of a medical waste collection and sterilisation equipment and the construction of a medical waste treatment centre (capacity 900 kg/day).  The requested equipment include: 30 containers (capacity 1100 l), one medical waste collection vehicle, an electric generator and medical waste protection equipment.  The sterilisation technology used is autoclaving.  An awareness campaign is planned to raise the awareness of citizen and medical staff in health care institutions on the proper sorting and management of medical waste.
