ü       The contract for the supply of solid waste collection equipment including 2 pick up trucks was signed. Trucks were delivered on 2 February 2007.ü       The Tender document (including detailed design, technical specifications and Bill of Quantities) for the construction of the sorting and composting facilities – capacities 8 t/d and 5 t/d, respectively were prepared .The Tender was launched in June 2008.

ü       Tender opening took place on 12 August 2008. After evaluation, the tender procedure was cancelled since all technically admissible offers exceeded the available budget.

ü        A new tender was prepared after re-scoping and was launched in May 2009.

ü        After evaluation of offers, the contract was awarded to Joseph Maalouf Establishment.

ü        The commencement order was provided to the contractor to start works in January 2010.
