ü       The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) was prepared and submitted to the Ministry of Environment in January 2007.

ü       The Ministry of Environment granted its preliminary approval on the submitted EIA on March 2007.

ü       Due to some complaints on the proposed location of the Waste Management Facility and the unavailability of a suitable piece of land,the construction of a Solid Waste Management Facility was dropped from the Union Proposal.

ü       A new AMO was signed between the Minister and the head of the Union on 14 November 2007 in which the Union requested the supply of containers and Vehicles.

ü       The contract for the Supply of containers was awarded to ALBINA while the contract for the Supply of Vehicles was awarded to Intertech - Batinorm.

ü       The containers /4500/ (20lit) & /1000/ (240 lit) were delivered to Jezzine in 27 August 2008.

ü       The Vehicles (8 pick up trucks)were delivered to Jezzine in January 2009.
