ü       The tender for the supply of the solid waste collection containers (capacity 1100 liters) and waste collection vehicles (2 pick up trucks and 1 compactor 10 m3) was launched in December 2006. The bid opening session took place on 6 February 2007.

ü       The containers were delivered on site by the Supplier (ALBINA) in June 2007.

ü       A formal reception of the vehicles took place on 18 October 2007.Vehicles will be delivered on site after completion of the acceptance report.

ü       The tender documents (including detailed design, technical specifications and Bill of quantities) for the construction of the sorting and composting facilities (capacities 15 and 9 t/d, respectively) was launched on 15 February 2007. Bid opening took place on 16 April 2007. The evaluation committee evaluated the received offers and provided its recommendations.

ü       The contract for the construction of the Solid Waste Management Facility was awarded to Joseph Maalouf Establishment for Engineering & Contracting on 17 October 2007.
