ü       The tender for the supply of the solid waste collection containers (capacity 1100 liters): was launched in December 2006. Bid opening took place on 6 February 2007.

ü    The containers were delivered on site by the Supplier (ALBINA) in June 2007.

ü The contract for the supply of the solid waste collection and handling equipment including 1 pick up truck and 1 collection vehicle (compactor 10 m3) was signed. The pick up was delivered on 2 February 2007. The compactor truck was delivered on 25 April 2007.

ü   The tender documents (including detailed design, technical specifications and Bill of quantities) for the construction of the sorting and composting facilities – capacities 10 t/d and 6 t/d, respectively – were launched on 15 February 2007.  Bid opening took place on 16 April 2007.

ü The contract for the construction of the Solid Waste Management Facility was awarded to Joseph Maalouf Establishment on 17 October 2007.

ü  The Construction of the Solid Waste Management Facility was completed by the end of November 2008.Provisional Acceptance took place in January 2009 by the Acceptance Committee.

ü In March 2009 Ansar received Omsar's contribution to the Operation and Maintenance of the facility in order to operate the facility. 

ü In August 2010, Ansar received OMSAR’s second contribution to the operation and maintenance of the SWM Facility.
